Take the private staircase down 100 steps from Villa Rita to the beach at “La Mortella”, where you can rent an umbrella and lounger for the day from La Perla beach club and unwind on one of the most beautiful beaches along the Amalfi Coast. La Perla is made up of a series of small sundecks and terraces built directly on the coastal cliff with ladders to easily get in and out of the water. There is also a relaxing garden area where you can cool off in the shade with a book or play a round of ping-pong. In addition, beach club guests can rent paddle boats and canoes, hire a boat with or without a skipper to explore the surrounding coastline or take a private boat tour to Naples, Salerno, Capri, and the Amalfi Coast, or dock their own private boat at the adjoining pier. Want to spend the entire day at the beach? No problem! La Perla has a small snack bar which serves cool drinks, cocktails, and ice cream, or you can order sandwiches, salads, fresh fruit, snack-size pizzas or other snacks. Settle in at a table with a view, or eat directly under your sun umbrella overlooking the waves. The beach restaurant, open from noon to 6:30 pm in the summer, serves more filling dishes, like traditional pasta and seafood specialties.
